What Is a Home Assessment? A home assessment combines a detailed visual inspection of the house systems, a blower door test to identify air leakage, and a duct blaster test to locate leakage in the duct work. The testing allows us to quantify the house leakage and locate those leaks to determine a repair strategy.
THE ENERGY ASSESSMENT INCLUDES:
- Visual inspection of the complete home system looking for energy saving improvements
- HVAC inspection
- Insulation assessment
- Water system inspection -Blower door testing to locate air infiltration sources
- Duct blaster test to locate HVAC distribution system leaks
With a completed assessment, you receive a detailed report which identifies the potential improvements, prioritized by the highest potential for improvement.
If you chose, you will also receive detailed instructions on how to make some of the repairs yourself. Repairs can also be completed by Home Energy Group or the repair service of your choice.
